Mothers Day at Myrtle Beach, SC

Top 5 Places to Eat in Myrtle Beach, SC

So every year a group of women in my family takes an annual Mothers Day Trip with our mothers, usually to Myrtle Beach, SC and this year was no different. The only difference was I was not pregnant and I didn't have to pray and believe I could get off of work. My husband came along to watch our 6 month old and I was able to hang with my sisters, aunts, and cousins. In our stay we were able to try out some pretty cool restaurants, where the service was great and the food did not disappoint. It is a mix of tourist spots as well as non tourist locations. Top Five are in no particular order.

1. Bay Naturals Healthy Market & Kitchen
7611 North Kings Hwy Myrtle Beach, SC 29572

So we ate breakfast here almost every morning we were on vacation. So its a health food market with a kitchen in the back. It was super cute, with a modern home feel to it with a gorgeous patio to the left covered in greenery. The first morning, I was out to get some groceries for the room, snacks and things and stumbled across this gem. Grabbed some organic coffee for the hubby and I, veggie omelet with Ezekiel Bread, and BLT Avocado Toast. Yum! We were hooked and went back every day, for more coffee, smoothies, and vegan/vegetarian organic delights.

2. Mr. Fish
6401 North Kings Highway Myrtle Beach, SC 29572

After we got situated and settled in and freshen up, we discovered Mr Fish. We had a taste for sushi and seafood. From the country down home hush puppies and fresh ceviche and calamari to start off, we were excited for our entrees. We tried two specialty rolls. Thanks to Yelp and its current reviews we were well pleased with our first night selection for dinner. In addition when we checked in with Yelp we received a free dessert. Peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream!!

3. RipTydz Oceanfront Grille & Rooftop Bar
1210 N. Ocean Blvd Myrtle Beach, SC 29577

So this was on the opposite end of the beach, the more live end. So the plan was to take the mothers there. The Rooftop Bar is on the 3rd floor, and the actual restaurant is on the 2nd floor. The 3rd floor you have a DJ playing tunes all night long as you over look the scenery. The 2nd floor you are hearing the sounds of live music on the side that looks out to the beach. The crab cake and wings were pretty good and I had the fish tacos, a bit spicy but overall tasty.
My husband and I did go back the next night after dinner to hang out upstairs at the bar and that was a little more my scene. They close at 2am.

4. Eggs Up Grill
1289 38th Ave. N. Myrtle Beach, SC 29577

Great Brunch Spot for the locals, non-tourist location in my opinion. The food was simple yet delicious, the staff was friendly and service was fast. Straight and to the point. Definitely will be visiting anytime I return.

5. Carolina Roadhouse
4617 N. Kings Hwy Myrtle Beach, SC

My husband took me here for my Mothers Day Dinner. I absolutely loved everything from start to finish. They were crowded but not that we had to wait long, the wait was maybe 10-15 minutes. So the highlight here was what we ordered. The Seafood and Combination Platter-A roadhouse mound of seafood fried to perfection. Freshly Battered & Fried to Order with French Fries and Homemade Hushpuppies. Served with a House Salad and we added a Soft-shell Crab. Lets just say we could not finish it all. Simply delicious.

Next time your visiting Myrtle Beach, SC stop by one of these locations and tell them we sent you.
